Amitabh Bachchan- Anupam Kher starrer "Uunchai" movie had a decent start on its opening day. This movie is a adventure drama film which is directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions, Boundless Media, and Mahaveer Jain Films jointly. 

It is based on the story of three aged friends who carry a trek to the Everest Base Camp, to fulfill their fourth friend's last wish. But the trek turns out to be a particular, expressive, and ethical journey as they fight their physical restrictions and realize the genuine meaning of freedom. Parineeti Chopra can be seen in the role of trek mentor and will turn into a guide for them as they voyage to the Everest base camp.

It was released in theatres worldwide on 11 November 2022. Since its release, it has received positive reviews and critics from fans. Despite having limited screens Big b's film performs well at the box office. As per the reports, the film has 483 screens in India and 351 overseas. It has been released on 70 screens in Nepal and 904 for a total count of screens.

Uunchai had a collection of 1.65-1.75 crores net on its opening day. These kinds of numbers were achieved by films following the epidemic, however, those films were first distributed on 1000 screens or more, whereas this one was only shown on 500. It was made on an estimated budget of 30-35 crores.

Reports also suggest that Uunchai doesn't have any elements to cross the mark of 1 crore but it did well. It can assure a growth of 60-70% in the upcoming days. The producers are following the old Rajshri model of release. Firstly, the movie will be released on limited screens/shows, if demand increases, the shows will also increase in the coming days. Yash Raj Films has bought the theatrical rights to Uunchai for India and overseas. 

The film features Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta, and Sarika sharing the screen. Uunchai was declared openly in October 2021. The principal photography for the film commenced right after its announcement. It ended in April 2022, interpreted by post-production works. The film's music is made by Amit Trivedi. This is Sooraj Barjatya's 7th film as a director, who gives so many hit films and is mainly known for costume dramas, and musicals.
