Vicky Kaushal Turned Down a Role in Anees Bazmee's Next? Inside Information

Sanjay Dutt-Rajkumar Hirani, David Dhawan-Govinda, Ranveer Singh-Sanjay Leela Bhansali These are all actor-director duos who not only frequently collaborate but also create magic whenever they get together. However, there are some jodis who try to collaborate to create magic but are always thwarted, whether due to creative issues, date conflicts, or something else. Vicky Kaushal and Aneesa Bazmee are two examples.

As the director of films such as No Entry, Welcome, Singh Is Kinng, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, calling Anees Bazmee one of Bollywood's most sought-after directors seems an understatement. His most recent film is now one of the highest-grossing films of 2022. According to reports, Anees was in talks with Vicky Kaushal of Sardaar Udham for his untitled next. According to ETimes, Vicky had a busy schedule, so he had to decline Bazmee's offer due to a lack of available dates.

When deciding on the script for his next film, Anne Bazmee had his Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 hero, Kartik Aaryan, in mind. However, due to scheduling conflicts, he had to part ways with him and began talks with Vicky Kaushal. As a result of Vicky's refusal, Anees is now looking for another actor who can fill Vicky's shoes and play the role in the film adequately, if not better than Kaushal. As of now, the director has approached another actor for the role, whose identity will be revealed once he is finalised.

Vicky Kaushal, on the other hand, will appear in Meghana Gulzar's Sam Bahadur, alongside Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra. He will play Sam Manekshaw, India's first Field Marshal, in the film. In addition, he is collaborating with Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani on the film Govinda Naam Hai Mera. He will also appear alongside Sara Ali Khan in Laxman Utekar's untitled next.
