Vijay Sethupathi To Play Villain In Shahrukh Khan's Jawan

VIJAY SETHUPATHI has AGREED to play the role of ANTAGONIST in SHAH RUKH KHAN starrer JAWAN and will join the sets in End of AUGUST in CHENNAI

RANA DAGGUBATI was earlier finalised to play the role of a COLD BLOODED VILLAIN in this Masala Action Entertainer by ATLEE, but he backed out due to HEALTH ISSUES and SETHUPATHI stepped in after he met SRK and ATLEE recently. This will be his FOURTH outing in Hindi Cinema after MUMBAIKAR, a SANTOSH SIVAN film which is a Hindi remake of LOKESH KANAGARAJ's debut film 'MAANAGRAM' as well as RAJ and DK's Crime Comedy 'FARZI', an AMAZON series co-starring SHAHID KAPOOR. He is currently shooting for SRIRAM RAGHAVAN's next Edge of the Seat Thriller, 'MERRY CHRISTMAS', co-starring KATRINA KAIF in the lead and will wrap the shoot of the film in this month

Also starring NAYANTHARA, PRIYAMANI, SANYA MALHOTRA, SUNIL GROVER and YOGI BABU in the lead, ATLEE is said to be currently working on the MUSIC of the film with ANIRUDH, making this film his second outing in Hindi Cinema after DAVID, and the shoot will resume by END of AUGUST in CHENNAI. DEEPIKA PADUKONE will also shoot for her cameo appearance in SEPTEMBER and the film will be wrapped by END of NOVEMBER - BEGINNING of DECEMBER 2022. The film is said to have been made on a Budget of around Whopping 200 CRORES and would be SRK playing a DOUBLE ROLE after 7 Years and will release on JUNE 2, 2023 worldwide.
