Ananya made her debut with Karan Johar's Student of the Year 2. She has been seen in various films and has been proving herself. But she also gets trolled for many of her stories and actions. She has been dealing and reacting the trolls very smartly and focuses on her career at the most. She is a successful woman and recently opened up on the importance of having female role models in an interview. 

While talking about why it is crucial for young women to have female role models, Ananya expressed, “I truly believe that women need to support each other, because only we understand what each one of us goes through in life. As women, we have our own issues and problems which men may never understand, even if they try to.” She said that she has been fortunate enough to grow around self made women and that she got the believe that even she can go out, work and pave her path. She also talked about how her friends have been achieving great things at a young age. She ended the talk by emphasising on that it feels encouraging to be around such women. 

Ananya was last seen in Gehraiyaan with Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi. She got a lot of praisal for her performance in the story. She will be seen in Kho Gaye Hum Kaha.
