Why Akshay Kumar Shouldn’t Have Done The Vimal Ad?

Akshay Kumar, the popular actor in Bollywood films, is known in the industry for his fitness regime at the age of 52 years. He is also known as the fitness icon for staying in shape. Her co-actors are always ready to know the secret behind his health and fitness.

In the interviews, Akshay Kumar has always mentioned that he has a very tight fitness routine. He follows the perfect mantra of early to bed, early to rise very seriously. He wakes up at 5:30 in the morning and goes by 9 to bed. He doesn’t even eat post 7 in the evening and seriously believes in keeping the body free of toxins that might harm his body. The actor does not consume alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine in any form. He is always seen educating people to respect their body and work for it to maintain its fitness.

But recently, Akshay Kumar was seen endorsing a pan masala brand, Vimal. Yes, he isn’t the only megastar to endorse a pan masala brand. But the reason he is getting trolled is because of his statements in the interviews, stating that the audience should be mature enough to know who to follow and who not to follow. Apart from this, Vimal is a pan masala (gutka) brand and Akshay Kumar is a fitness icon, these two don’t much likely to go together. Fans are calling him a hypocrite and criticizing him for backtracking his statements and mantra of his life. One of his fans tweeted “Ab Kya Vimal Khaane se Bones aur Muscles Fit Hone lagenge.”

Bollywood megastars are seen dancing for the people they don’t even know, endorsing multiple brands that they haven’t even used, etc. Is this a new normal in Bollywood because they are greeted with a fat cheque by the brand for doing so? But endorsing a pan masala brand just for the sake of money that too by Bollywood’s fitness regime has crossed all the borders, is a low even by Bollywood standards.
