YRF Puts A Halt On All Movie Projects After Major Flops

Yash Raj Films have currently put a HALT on taking a final call on projects under development and have instead finalized TWO more web series for their newly created 'YRF ENTERTAINMENT'

The second web series will be a take on LOVE, RELATIONSHIP and AMBITIONS and will feature many young debutants, the casting for which is currently under process. This series will have JAIDEEP SAHNI (Chak De India, Shuddh Desi Romance) as Writer while AKSHAY ROY (Meri Pyaari Bindu) will Direct the series

The Third web series will be an 'EDGE OF SEAT THRILLER' which is being written and to be directed by GOPI PUTHRAN, who wrote Mardaani and also directed Mardaani 2 as well.

The newly created 'Digital Division' of Yash Raj Films will make its debut with 'THE RAILWAY MAN', a Limited Series consisting of FIVE Episodes and is made on a budget of 100 CRORES. Directed by SHIV RAWAIL, the series is a 'Tribute to Unnamed Heroes, who saved countless lives in the wake of 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy' and will star R MADHAVAN, KAY KAY MENON, DIVVYENDU and BABIL I KHAN in the lead and is set to release on 5th DECEMBER, 2022

YRF is also said to have SCRAPPED the idea of launching its Own Digital Platform and is now looking to create and produce web content for various OTT platforms and are in talks with various International streamers for the same.

YRF ENTERTAINMENT is in due process to lock TWO more Web Series and are also giving a serious thought to include films like MAHARAJA (Junaid Khan, Sharvari, Jaideep Ahlawat) and TGIF (Vicky Kaushal, Manushi Chhilar) in their slate for digital release, and have earmarked an investment of around 500 CRORES for development and production of these FIVE Web Series.
