Ajay Devgn's Raid2 Will Be Based On Perfume Seller Piyush Jain

KUMAR MANGAT PATHAK (Panorama Studios) has confirmed that 'RAID 2' will be based on the raid conducted at various premises of Perfume seller PIYUSH JAIN which resulted in recovery of 257 CRORES in cash, 25 Kgs of GOLD, 250 Kgs of SILVER and 600 Kgs of SANDALWOOD from his residences at KANPUR and KANNAUJ. He is currently under Judicial remand in KANPUR. The counting of the notes took around 36 Hours with 13 Machines and the raid involved tearing down some of the walls where lot of cash has been stashed. This is being considered as one of the biggest recovery out of multiple IT raids at Jain's premises in Uttar Pradesh in recent years.

AJAY DEVGN will return to reprise his role as Income Tax Officer in this co-production with T-SERIES and the scripting work for the sequel is currently underway. The film is likely to go on floors in second half of 2022.
