Alia Bhatt made her 2023 Met Gala debut as she walked on the red carpet in a dreamy princess dress which was adorned by pearls. This year's theme was ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’ and Alia stuck to it with her white outfit and fingerless gloves in honour of Karl. She had a princess moment on the carpet as she waved at the photographers with the brightess smile. We also saw her posing with Prabal Gurung. Did you like her outfit? 

The actress shared a few clicks of her on the red carpet on her Instagram page. Did you see th post? The caption read, “A girl can never have too many pearls… and the right accessories to complement the look which in our case translated to the bow of pearls on my hair. Oh, and it’s white, for my Choup-ED🐱.”

While having a conversation, Alia shared that she wanted to do something authentic and proudly made in India. The caption of the post further said, “The embroidery, made with a 100,000 pearls is a labour of love by @prabalgurung. I’m so proud to wear you for my first Met.”

On Saturday, Alia left for New York and as she saw cameras around, she flashed her beautiful smile. The year 2022 was superb for her and it bought her a lot of hapiness in both professional and personal life. She got married to Ranbir and also had a baby. She will soon also make her international debut with Netflix’s Heart of Stone, with Gal Gaddot and Jamie Dornan. Are you excited to watch her? 

This year’s Costume Institute exhibition is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”. It celebrates the life and work of celebrated designer Karl Lagerfeld. The dress code is “in honor of Karl.” Lagerfeld designed for many houses including Chloé, Patou, Balmain, Fendi, and Chanel, giving enough inspiration to the highly curated list of attendees.
