Alia Bhatt, who made her debut in Bollywood with "Student of the Year" in 2012, has not only established herself as a leading actress but has also ventured into film production. In a recent exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Alia shed light on her approach to deciding whether to act in the projects she produces, emphasizing the importance of fitting into a role.

The actress, who is currently gearing up for the release of the web series "Poacher," revealed her thoughtful process when it comes to choosing roles in her productions. Alia stated, "Do you fit the part? That's the most important question. I don't think I fit every part, you know, so sometimes...and I'm working on a lot of stuff right now, which I'm not acting in."

Alia expressed that her decision-making involves considering other mainstream actresses or actors who might be better suited for certain roles. "In fact, that I see other mainstream actresses in as well while we are creating them. I'm like, 'Oh, this will be great for this one'...or actors," she shared.

Her perspective extends beyond her own character, as Alia highlighted her natural inclination to assess the ensemble and the fit of each cast member in a project. "I am actually somebody who, something that very naturally happens, even when I am in a film, I don't look at it only from my character's point of view. So how is everybody sitting in this? So yeah, are you right for the part?" she explained.

Acknowledging the need for objectivity in her decision-making, Alia added, "Of course, that would be foolish to think," demonstrating her ability to make choices that serve the overall narrative and character dynamics.

Currently serving as an executive producer for the upcoming series "Poacher," directed by Richie Mehta and based on true events, Alia is set to explore her storytelling skills beyond her on-screen presence. The series features a talented cast, including Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Ankith Madhav, Kani Kusruti, Suraj Pops, Ranjita Menon, Vinod Sherawat, and Snoop Dinesh. "Poacher" is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 23, 2024.

In her recent Instagram post, Alia expressed her admiration for "Poacher," calling it "one of the best shows." Meanwhile, she is concurrently involved in the production and filming of Vasan Bala's "Jigra," showcasing her multifaceted talents in the world of entertainment.
