Rahman and his wife, actress Saira Banu, announced their decision to divorce after twenty-nine years of marriage. A.R. Rahman and Saira Banu have been together since 1995, and they have three children and decades of love story. They made the announcement much to the surprise of fans all across the globe. In a highly charged emotional message, the couple blamed the break up on emission stress.
After that, Rahman went to social media to show how he felt, saying that he wished they could reach their 30th anniversary. He added that life is short and all things have an end and thanked his fans and friends for keeping their distance, Newstalk.

Amid all these personal issues, Rahman’s bassist, Mohini Dey, also left her husband, Mark Hartsuch. The couple took to Instagram and declared that the split was both of them willing and that they both wanted divergent life experiences. However, they stressed that they were going to keep very good, friendly, and working relationships after parsings.
To the delight of her fans, Mohini, who has worked with Rahman in some of his international shows, also made it clear that MaMoGi and the Mohini Dey Groups would still be in operation “Thank you and no negativity during this time,” she added to her caption.
