Through his career spanning thirty years in Hindi films, Aamir Khan has established himself as one of the most popular and influential actors of Indian cinema. He's a hugely successful actor, TV host, producer and director, certainly one of the finest talents in the industry. But Aamir Khan's real success lies in having never chased stardom & focusing on his craft instead.
Here are  films that prove that for Aamir Khan, it's always been about his craft and not any kind of stardom.

1.Andaz Apna Apna
As of now, it is by far the most-watched film on TV. It has gained such massive popularity that most people can quote every dialogue of the film. Aamir Khan and Salman Khan both play two jobless dreamers who wish to marry an heiress and inherit her fortune. It is one of those films that made slapstick humor an art form. Aamir and Salman hammed with such effortless ease at times it felt like they’re just making up lines on the spot. The supporting cast was equally terrific.

2.Dil Chahta Hai
A new era of popcorn entertainment and started the multiplex era in Bollywood. The film redefined the rules of being the leading guy in a film. From the way, it was shot to the costume design and even the dialogues Dil Chahta Hai revolutionized Bollywood cinema in many ways. The film captured the essence of metrosexual urban youth. It made Goa a tourist hotspot and became the bible of modern friendship. It was the first film that talked about setting boundaries and the importance of empathy in any relationship.

3.Lagaan
Roger Ebert rated it 3.5 out of 4 stars and was effusive in his praise. It was rated amongst 100 Best Films Of World Cinema by Empire Magazine and it became only the 3rd India film, and still remains, the last Indian film to have been nominated for an Academy Award in its most competitive category – Best Foreign Language Film.

4.Rang De Basanti
The film resonates with the mood of the youth today and the film seems much more relevant now in 2020 than it did in 2006. Every issue highlighted in the film has manifested itself in front of our eyes in 2020. The basic messaging of the film – to be a part of the system to change the system remains as important now as it was back then. A bunch of hedonistic and irreverent youngsters playing the part of freedom fighters eventually awaken to the fact that nothing much has changed. The British might have left, but the freedom still evades us. This film made patriotism cool. The characters could be anyone we see around us, their mannerism and behavior replicated those of carefree youngsters we see every day in universities.
5.Taare Zameen Par
It was one of those rare films that needed to hammer its point to its audience. In a country where child beating is common and kids are often ridiculed and even thrashed for not getting good grades, this was a film that tried to make the adults think beyond just passing judgments.
Why are the kids failing is a much more important question? Would bullying them into submission help them? How do you talk about the merits of a film that has touched you on a more personal level than any other film? Taare Zameen Par is the only film that made us cry like a child in a theatre. The narrative was simplistic, and perhaps the ending too convenient.

6.Ghajini
Ghajini is a different best movie of Aamir Khan. Ghajini  was a remake of a Tamil movie by the same name, changed tremendously by the Memento film from Hollywood. The biggest highlight of this film was the split body, Aamir Khan worked so hard for the movie and it matched the first Indian film at the box office to cross 100 crores. It is a tale of a Sanjay Singhania victim who has a short-term memory dysfunction and wants revenge.

7.Talaash
Aamir has received quite a lot of criticism for always playing the good guy who always does good things. With Talaash, Aamir got to challenge people's notion of him. He played a grieved Police Inspector with grey shades and proved he can play any role he wants. The film was a very well-made thriller that had a marvelous cast. It was the brain-child of Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar who co-wrote the film together with Reema being the director.
8.Pk
Pk is a different comedy movie by Aamir Khan. We don’t have many movies of extraterrestrial life in India, even this one is completely different from Hollywood. PK is an Alien story, who came to shore but lost his remote control. It’s an alien story. He needs to find his remote monitor to respond to the world, but people suggest that he follow God and he can only be delivered by God.He starts to quest for God. He sends us so many messages about holidays and our society’s problems.

9.3 Idiots
Only expect Aamir Khan to do the undoable. In 3 idiots a 40 plus actor playing the role of a young engineering student and that too, so convincingly. The movie was a massive hit and to date is one of the best and most-watched films that traces the struggles and joys deeply rooted in the lives of engineering students. The honest storyline is extremely relatable. Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan played their part to perfection too.

10.Dangal
At a time when leading men his age are busy romancing actresses half their age, Aamir chose to play an ageing, overweight father to four girls who's hell bent on turning them into wrestling champions. It's a role completely devoid of vanity and a masterclass in acting!
His relentless dedication to turn them into successful wrestlers is the storyline of this epic film. It was one of the most beautifully made biopics of recent times. It was a great launchpad for Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh  The film broke box office records and is one of the highest-grossing films in his career.
