There are a lot of movies based on plane hijacks. A few years ago, it was an hot issue and hijacks were all in the news. Some of the movies are based on real live stories and these stories introduce us to lot of our real life heros who we don't know about. Today, we will be talking about some of these films. 

1. Neerja 

It is one of the most popular hijack based film. It says the story of a young airhostess. She sacrificed her life to save the passengers and delay the demands of the terrorists. She won the bravey award both in India and Pakistan. Her role was well played by Sonam Kapoor. The songs of the film would give you goosebumps and you would really feel the emotions. 

2. Hijiack 

This film is based on terrorism and stars Shiney Ahuja and Esha Deol. It shows the story of a plane from Delhi which was hijacked by sixteen terrorists. It is based on the hijack of IC 814. 

3, Zameen 

It stars Ajay Devgn, Bipasha Basu and Abhishek Bachchan. It is the debut film of Rohit Shetty. It is based on the hijack of Indian Airlines Airbus, 1999. It is the typical story of terrorists asking to release their leader in lieu of the lives of the passenger. 

4. Kandahar 

It is a Malyalam film starring Mohanlal, Amitabh Bachchan and Ganesh Ventakraman. It was released as a dubbed version in Hindi. It shows the story two point of views. Both seems right in their ways. 

5. Bell Bottom 

It is one of the recent releases of Bollywood. It starrs Akshay Kumar, Vani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta. It is based on the 1984 hijack with the raw agent whose code was Bell Bottom.
