Blind Review

The film, Blind staring Sonam Kapoor (Gia Singh) as the lead actress was released on 7th July 2023. Have you watched it yet? Apart from Sonam, it also stars Vinay Pathak (Prithvi Khanna), Purab Kohli (The Driver), Lillete Dubey (Aunty Maria), Lucy Aarden, Shubham Saraf (Nikhil Saraf), Danesh Razvi (Adrian Pereira), Tara Sumner (Stacie Monroe), Caroline Bartholdson and more. The entire fil has been shot in beautiful Glasgow, Scotland. The film is directed by Shome Makhija and produced by Sujoy Ghosh, Avishek Ghosh, Hyunwoo Thomas Kim, Sachin Nahar, Pinkesh Nahar and Manish W.

The story is of orphan siblings (Gia and Adrian) who meet with an accident and the brother is lost in the same. Gia helds herself responsible for the loss of Adrian as she handcuffed him to the car and he couldn't escape. Gia lost her eyesight in the accident and that brings us to the title of the film. As she is a police officer she has some strong insightal features. She doesn't let her diability become her weakness. Later, she comes across The Driver, who is an Indian man who kidnaps women and keeps them in his house to torture them. He had some disorder because of his past and he enjoyed torturing women. Gia uderstands his game and he tries to subotage and kills her dog, Elsa. Nikhil is a witness of the kidnapping that the driver does and he even tries to kill him.

Talking about the character, Sonam did an amazing role throughout the film. I also enjoyed the fun inspector Prithvi Khanna who is never seen without his food. The villian, played by Purab Kohli was thrilling, he was very good in the role and was able to give the feel of a dangerous man.

You can watch it on Jio Cinema. I would rate this film a 4/5.
