On Monday, BMC registered a case against actor Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan for violating Covid-19 norms. Sohail’s son Nirvaan has also been named in the case registered by the municipal body for violating the guidelines.

According to the complaint filed by a BMC medical officer, the trio – Arbaaz, Sohail and Nirvaan directly went home without isolating themselves at a hotel. The complainant stated that the trio were asked to quarantine themselves in a hotel as per the Covid-19 norms but they went home directly.

They gave false undertaking to quarantine themselves at Hotel Taj Lands End in Mumbai but went to their Bandra home instead.

As per the BMC guidelines, the trio should have gone through seven-day institutional quarantine. Hence, an FIR has been registered against them, sources said.

However, a BMC team later visited Sohail’s house. He confirmed that the trio had booked for quarantine at Taj Lands End but went to their respective homes after their test reports at the airport came ‘negative’.
