Bollywood Celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Mira Rajput opted for minimal mehendi designs for their marriage and so did Kiara Advani

We all love seeing celebrity wedding pictures admit it or not. Celebrities tying the knot this season has given fans a lot of ideas to use on their own big day. A lot of trends were noticeable from elegant decor to beautiful ensembles in these high profile ceremonies as it became instant goals for future brides and grooms. In the last few years the shift of the bridal mehendi trend from elaborate, elbow length designs to minimal henna designs has been quite evident. Celebrity brides such as Alia Bhatt, Kiara Advani, and others were seen opting for minimal subtle designs instead of full-hand bridal henna. Let's take a look.

Kiara Advani
On the 7th of February, Kiara tied the knot with Siddharth Malhotra and the actors dropped pictures from the wedding ceremony. We can see a clear glimpse of Kiara's mehendi on one of the pictures of Kiara and Siddharth facing each other. Kiara went for a simple mandala in the centre, with a lattice design detailing on the fingers instead of a fingertips to elbow design.

Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt went for a mandala design and it was reported by Pinkvilla that the mehendi was purely Alia's choice. It was done by Mumbai based celeb artist Jyoti Chedda. A source in April last year informed that Alia got symbols like infinity, the number 8, and the letter 'R' incorporated in her mehendi. The number 8 symbolising Ranbir's lucky number. As for the 'R' she wanted to be minimal and didn't want everyone to see his full name.

Mira Rajput
Mira was seen with a minimal mehendi design on her wedding with Shahid Kapoor in 2015. Now if you think the trend of minimal bridal mehendi designs has only begun last year, think again!

Anushka Ranjan
Having opted for a minimal mandala inspired mehendi design that stood out, Anushka Ranjan also aced an unconventional colored outfit on her wedding day with Aditya Seal in 2021.

Bipasha Basu
Isn't it stunning how Bipasha Basu's mehandi design isn't extremely minimal as it features a lot of empty space for the henna design to stand out more prominantly.

Patralekhaa
Patralekhaa opted for Alta instead of henna on her hands. We can see her hands adorned with Alta on the centre of her palm, and her fingertips from her wedding pictures with Rajkumar Rao.
