Shahrukh has been a superstar since the 1990's. He is a permanent A-lister, who has fans across the globe. He has time & again topped the list of India's richest celebs. Like all celebs, Shahrukh too has been at the receiving end of a lot of Bollywood gossip & there have been several nasty rumours about him. We list out the nastiest rumours we have heard about Bollywood's eternal romantic hero
1. Shahrukh Is Bi
This rumour which started in the 1990's has never really left SRK's side. Despite being married throughout his career & having three kids, the rumours of SRK being bisexual continue to do the rounds. Shahrukh has personally addressed these rumours & vehemently denied them several times.
2. Shahrukh Had An Affair With Karan Johar
Another rumour which did the rounds especially post the success of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai & Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, was of Karan Johar having an affair with the country's then biggest superstar - SRK. Despite Karan Johar being pally with Gauri Khan, gossip mongers continued to insist that Shahrukh & Karan were having an affair. Karan has denied these rumors in his biography - An Unsuitable Boy & has referred to Shahrukh as his "brother". On being asked by a journalist, whether he sleeps with Shahrukh, KJo got back by asking the journalist whether he sleeps with his brother, as he considers Shahrukh to be his brother!
3. Shahrukh Had An Affair With Priyanka Chopra
This is one rumour which Shahrukh has in a way not denied completely. As per rumours the affair between the much-married Shahrukh Khan & Priyanka Chopra started during the shooting of Don2. When Shahrukh's wife - Gauri & BFF - Karan Johar heard these rumours, they were livid. After all, PC was part of their gang, which partied together & even worked together. Priyanka was then forced to try her luck in Hollywood, after Karan Johar & Gauri declared war. Shahrukh is rumoured to have helped PC land her breakout role in Quantico. She has hinted at an affair with Shahrukh in her interviews several times. PC & Shahrukh are rumoured to have continued their affair post her Hollywood transition & used to meet at a friend's bungalow. But eventually they broke up. Shahrukh & PC did bump into each other at a wedding & are now on cordial terms. Karan Johar too has mended his ties with PC.
4. Shahrukh Khan Has Links With Anti-Nationals
Shahrukh Khan was rumoured to have ties with anti-national elements, after his pics with Tony Ashai - a Kashmiri who was alleged to have funded anti- Indian activities. Indian government has accused Tony Ashai of being on ISI's payroll
5. Abram Is Shahrukh's Grandson!
This is one of the nastiest rumours which shook Bollywood. It was rumoured that Abram was not Shahrukh's son born out of surrogacy as claimed by them, but was in fact Aryan's son, born out of wedlock from his Polish GF. Shahrukh addressed these at a TedX event & denied it completely.
6. Shahrukh Is Arrogant
There have been rumours of Shahrukh Khan being arrogant. These rumours were further fuelled by Shahrukh's explosive interviews where he proclaimed that he was the best! But people who have met him claim that Shahrukh Khan is very approachable & down to earth. While he is routinely late to his sets, his enthusiasm & dedication towards his work more than makes up for it.
7. Shahrukh Khan Had An Affair With Singer Kanika Dhillon
Another rumour which did the rounds a few years back were rumours about Shahrukh Khan's affair with singer - Kanika Dhillon. The rumours died as quickly as they started.
8. Shahrukh Has Had A Hair Transplant
Shahrukh Khan was seen facing a receding hairline during the making of Ra-One, which mysteriously disappeared later on. This made people gossip about him getting a hair procedure done.
