Deepika Padukone To Be Seen In 'Ulajh'

DEEPIKA PADUKONE is said to be approached to play the leading role in JUNGLEE PICTURES next production titled 'ULAJH' which is touted as High octane SPY THRILLER, which is written by PARVEEZ SHAIKH and directed by National Award winner SUDHANSHU SARIA.

The story is based on a female spy belonging to a prominent family of patriots who is involved in a personal conspiracy away from her home turf on her first international posting. Even though no confirmation has been recieved from Deepika's end, but the talks are ongoing and other top actresses will be approached as well for Saria's mainstream directorial debut.

SARIA won National Award as Best Director for his Indie Psychological thriller KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK and has even compelled EKTA KAPOOR to take back the promotional materials released for Alt Balaji show 'HIS STORY' which resembled to his critically acclaimed film 'LOEV'.

SARIA has been roped in as the head writer of DELHI CRIME SEASON 3 as well as scripted a YOUNG ADULT show for AMAZON PRIME titled 'MASOOM' which will be directed by NITYA MEHRA. The show is set in a BOARDING SCHOOL in DEHRADUN and focuses on the life of a 14 year old girl and how she traveses her life in this school.

JUNGLEE PICTURES, on the other hand, has 5 Films in works including BADHAAI DO, DOCTOR G, WO LADKI HAI KAHAAN (with Roy Kapur Films), A biopic on DOSA KING and ULAJH. The company will also produce ABHISHEK CHAUBEY's show titled 'DUS ASSI' which is based on 'Illegal creation and sale of Porn clips in Western Uttar Pradesh'.
