End Of Era': 5 K-Pop Groups Disbanded In 2024

SNUPER
Six-piece boy band SNUPER made a splash in 2015 when they released their mini-album "Shall We," swiftly becoming well-known. On May 3, 2023, the members opted not to extend their contracts with WIDMAY Entertainment after more than seven years of participation. With a poignant handwritten letter, SNUPER leader Taewoong said that the group "will cheer each other on from separate places in the future," ending an era.

Brave Girls

On February 16, 2023, Brave Girls—Minyoung, Yujeong, Eunji, and Yuna—announced their breakup as a result of their contract with BRAVE Entertainment expiring. The same day, they released "Goodbye," their last digital single, to wrap up their operations. Despite making their debut in 2011, Brave Girls became well-known in 2021 thanks to the success of their 2017 song "Rollin'," which saw a decline in popularity.

MOMOLAND
Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy of MOMOLAND, which made its debut in 2016, terminated their exclusive contracts with MLD Entertainment when they came to an end in February 2023. In a touching message to the band's supporters on February 14, Nancy stated that the members had decided to "take a step forward towards our dreams" after giving it considerable contemplation.

LOONA Odd Eye Circle

Over seven years, LOONA, also known as 이달의 소녀 (Girl of The Month), amassed a fervent fan base. On January 13, 2023, Odd Eye Circle, the second sub-unit of LOONA, which included JinSoul, Cherry, and Kim Lip, broke apart due to the cancellation of their Blackberry Creative contracts. Their effect on the business was cemented when their debut EP, "Mix & Match," which was published in 2017, topped worldwide charts.

D1CE

On January 20, 2023, D1CE, a five-member K-pop group, formally dissolved after more than three years of existence. The group, who were signed to D1CE Entertainment, made their stage debut on August 1, 2019, with their extended play "Wake Up: Roll the World." When word leaked out that they were breaking up, their fans were taken aback and took to social media to voice their shock and dismay.
