Fresh Off The Boat – the hit sitcom based on a Taiwanese family in Orlando,US is back with a fourth season. Read our review to find out whether it is worth a watch.
The third season ended with the Huangs telling their neighbors & friends that they will be relocating to an upmarket locality. But we are told early on in the first few minutes of the first episode that they it did not work out. Eddie(Hudson Yang) breaks up with his long time GF – Allison(Isabelle Alexander). Eddie’s neighbour – Nicole has a few secrets of her own. Eddie’s friends take time to forgive him for his mistakes.

Eddie tries hard to keep his long term GF – Allison, interested in him Emery(Forrest Wheeler)is going through a bad phase in his life. He is not as lucky & loved as he used to be. Not much has changed for Evan(Ian Chen) & his mother Jessica(Constance Wu). Louis is having to deal with some changes at his workplace. Matthew Chestnut(Matt Oberg) is the new entrant at Cattleman’s ranch. Honey & Marvin have some good news to share in this season. Grandma Huang too has quite a few developments in her own life. The episode where we get an insight into Jessica’s family & her upbringing is the highlight of this season.
All the ingredients which made F.O.B a hit show are present in the fourth season as well. Indian audiences & especially those who 1st generation US immigrants will definitely relate to the show. The comedy & the writing is excellent. The characters mannerisms & traits will make you laugh. Each episode is entertaining & will leave you wanting more. There was not a single episode which we felt was boring. The show feels like a walk down memory lane. People who start watching from the fourth season will have no problem in enjoying the show. Director Nahnahtchka should be commended for giving us a solid entertaining show.

We highly recommend you to watch it with your family
