Guess Who: Director Blames Production House For Failure

Mumbai Mirror has published a blind item about a director blaming the production house for her movie’s failure.

It is difficult to market a bad product. It takes a genius to sell a bad product. But if the product is good & is getting good reviews, then it is the marketing team’s job to ensure that the product sells. We don’t agree with the blind item, which mentions that the director is wrong to blame the production house. The director did everything possible to make a good film, it was up to the production house to spend money on promoting the movie & ensure its success. A part of the blame does lie with the director for not making a film with enough commercial elements too.

A source who knows the director & her director husband claims that the couple is humbleness personified. Despite both being successful directors, they make it a point to be the first ones to attend every family function & be the last ones to leave. They help out the hosts as well. It sure feels good to see such successful people with their feet firmly on the ground.

Blind Item

THIS acclaimed director is not pleased with a recent film’s box-office performance. Blaming the production house for the cold-go, the filmmaker has apparently told the company it should have delayed its release and changed the distribution strategy. We say it’s not cool for someone of this stature to pass the buck. After all, success is not final and failure is not fatal.
