While the owner of this studio is almost bankrupt, it looks like his movie business has been doing well. Quite a few of their bets have paid off. He stands to make a lot of money from the online release of two of his movies.

If this blind item turns out to be true, then it is unlikely that the box office king will be dethroned this year. With a likely superhit movie of the challenger not releasing & even the release of his other movies not being certain, the scales are tilted in the box office king’s favor. The battle is likely to resume next year. Let’s see who wins.

A young superstar who had a sure hit on his hands too is likely to suffer. While his movie may gain a lot of appreciation online, what matters is box office receipts. That is the only metric. Last heard the director of his movie was denying claims that their movie will release online.
