Guess Who: This Movie Will Release In The Theatres Post Lockdown
Mumbai Mirror has published a blind item about a movie which will release in the theatres post the lockdown.
Bollywood celebs have been badly affected by the Covid-19 outbreak. All deals are being renegotiated. All actors are being asked to take huge pay cuts. OTT platforms have been the savior of worried producers. Had it not been for them several top producers would have probably gone bankrupt.
The movie in question was considered a sure thing. The film’s hero is going through one of the best phases of his career. The director too has a great track record at the box office. The producer himself is a big name in the industry. Nobody suspected that anything would come in the way of their movie releasing in the theatres & doing blockbuster business.
Blind Item
A mega-budget film that was to release a couple of months ago has been stalled due to the lockdown. The producers plan to release it a few months after cinemas open, only so they can clock in the profits they hope to make. However, the delay is costing them dearly. We hear the producers are paying interest on their loan to the tune of Rs 2 crore a month. If the film gets delayed by 10 months, they will end up paying Rs 20 crore over and above the film’s estimated production and marketing costs. Let’s hope for a blockbuster.
