Here is why several celebs are holidaying in the Maldives

Many celebs have been sharing pics of their holiday in the Maldives. As per a tabloid, the reason is that the island country has opened up for tourism is that they think the best way to lure tourists is to bring movie stars there first. Freebie holidays are part of the deal. Our celebs who are bored staying home for several months are too happy for the junket.

Being a celeb has its share of perks. Be it your neighborhood designer, hotel, salon, none of them charge Bollywood celebs for their services. They in fact pester the celebs to make an appearance. A-list celebs won’t make an appearance unless they are paid or they share a personal rapport with the client. Just one pic of a celeb wearing a certain brand’s apparel or posing outside a store on social media can lead to revenues in millions.

The flip side is that these celebs start expecting freebies from everyone. These celebs are known to pass on even personal expenses to their producers or brand managers during shoots. One top A-lister was rumored to order food during shoots & take it home for her family! The list of celebs who take home costumes/clothes worn while shooting for a movie without asking the producers is endless

While no one minds it when the star is an A-lister, the problem arises when the celeb ceases to be an A-lister.
