IMRAN KHAN'S MARRIAGE ON ROCKS?

When Imran Khan debuted with the fresh college romance Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na, people fell in love with his boy-next-door image. Jaane Tu… was a hit and the GenX Bollywood star club added another name to the list besides Ranbir Kapoor. Imran in Jaane Tu… reminded many of his uncle, Aamir Khan in his debut film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. And soon afterwards breaking the hearts of many young girls he announced that he will be marrying his long term girlfriend Avantika Malik. Avantika had also dated Ranbir Kapoor long time back before she and Imran got into a serious relationship.

Avantika and he tied the knot in 2011. He had been dating her for a long time before that. Imran was few of those Bollywood actors who didn't have any controversy to his name. He did very few films compared to his contemporaries like Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor or Ranveer Singh. And unfortunately,most of his films didn't do very well. It was only rarely that he was appreciated for pulling off a film like Delhi Belly. He soon lost his touch and did films that were simply bland. Offers became scarcer and scarcer. Not even his mamu, Aamir Khan, could be of much help. His last appearance at the movies was with the much forgettable Katti Batti. That too was four years back. The world has not heard from him since. He is said to sit on the director's chair with Mission Mars, which will be a short film coming this year. Otherwise, he doesn't have any offer at hand currently.

His work front is not in a good state. And now going by the gossip columns and the blind items published in newspapers and online tabloids, neither is his marriage. He is said to be headed for a split. And this definitely comes as a shock not only to the ardent Bollywood followers but also to the friends of the couple. Married for 8 years, Avantika and Imran were the few of the Bollywood couples who had a wonderful marital life. They were indeed one of the happiest couples in B-town.Imran had made it clear very early in his career that he was more inclined to his marriage than anything else. While the other actors were busy doing films after films and garnering huge fan followings, he retreated back to the paradise his marital bliss. Not once in his not-so-successful movie career did he get linked up with a co-star. He always maintained a certain level of dignity whether on or offscreen. Sadly a third person is the rumored reason behind the divorce of this couple who were setting relationship goals. Imran's mother-in-law is a corporate honcho. He had to spend a whopping sum of money to renovate their bungalow. Now we hear that Avantika has moved out of their home and is currently living with her parents along with the couple's daughter Imara. Their friends and industry colleagues are constantly trying to make them understand to try and sustain the marriage, at least for the sake of their daughter. We hope sense prevails and the couple again finds solace in their marriage.
