During a conversation with Bollywood Spy, Shahid Kapoor subtly appealed to the South audience, stating, "I don't think we should draw any kinds of lines, and I would say the same for the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada audience. I would say, watch Hindi films because the Hindi audience is wholeheartedly accepting your films. So, you should also accept our films for cinema to grow. We should have an open heart, acceptance should come from all sides."
Shahid Kapoor further emphasized, "The Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada audience should also embrace Hindi cinema in the same way that the Hindi audience has embraced South Indian films. They should also have a big heart. I feel like everybody should work with each other, everyone should come together to add more value so that more people go to theaters. But everyone should have the same attitude."
As Shahid Kapoor addresses the need for mutual acceptance and collaboration between Bollywood and the South Indian film industry, he advocates for the growth of cinema as a whole. By breaking down the barriers and promoting inclusivity, he believes that the film industry can flourish.
