Strengths

The show comes on the Balaji Telefilms stable. Balaji Telefilms has a good track record of churning out hit dramas & is the biggest TV studio when it comes to hindi serials. With their years of experience in producing dramas, they are well versed with the pulse of the audiences. Ekta Kapoor has relied on one of her frequent collaborators – Shabbir Ahluwalia to star in the project. Shabbir being a seasoned actor performs his part very convincingly. He is clearly a scene stealer. As is the case with most of Ekta Kapoor’s shows, this show too has strong female characters in it. Sriti Jha is superb in her part as Pragya. Mrunal Thakur essays her part well. The supporting casts too are perfectly cast for their roles. Special mention goes to Leena Jumani who plays Tanushree – the vamp.

With a running time of 21 mins, each episode with its several twists & turns makes for an interesting watch. That explains why the show has completed 1000 episodes & still continues to boast of a huge fan following in Hindi and Tamil too!

Weakness

This show mainly appeals to female audiences. But if you are a man who is fond of daily soaps, you will enjoy this more than the others.

Verdict

For fans of daily soaps, Iniya Iru Malargal will raise the benchmark in terms of scripting, production values & acting. Huddle around your mobile/TV to watch this show with your family & be ready for 21 mins of pure unadulterated drama! You can also watch all the episodes anytime, anywhere on the ZEE5 app.
