Jaane Jaan Review

Jaane Jaan is an OTT release which is available on Netflix. It was released on 21 September 2023 and stars Kareena Kapoor Khan (Maya D'Souza), Vijay Verma (Karan Anand), Jaideep Ahlawat (Naren Vyas). It has been directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Have you watched it yet?

Well, the story is full of suspense and mysteries. Kareena has done a phenomenon job throughout the film. It was a different kind of role for her as we have always seen her in glamourous roles and here she plays the role of a murderer. The story begin with Naren being in love with Maya and visiting her cafe everyday for a glimpse. Later, Maya is frightened as she see her ex-husband (Ajit) who is a scary man. She had run away from him 14 years ago and now he is back in their life. She is afraid that he would harm their daughter like he sold her to a hotel after they got married. Ajit is involved in some criminal work and the police appoints Karan to find him. He reaches Kalingpong in search of Ajit and later finds out he is dead and has only one suspect in the town that is, Maya. Meanwhile, it is Maya who has killed Ajit while defending for her daughter and Naren helped them get out of trouble. Naren and Karan seem to be college friends and Naren tries to divert Karan in the case so that the suspect changes from Maya to him.

Overall, I liked the film but by the mid, I found it to be abit boring and repeatative. But the last 13 minutes of the film had made it all worth it. All the story and planning by now suddenly changed and started making sense. There were a lot of twists and turns to keep up the suspense. I really enjoyed the character of Naren and how his used the Math logic to divert a murder case. You can definately watch this film. I would rate it a 4/5.
