Kareena Kapoor To Star In The Devotion Of Suspect X Remake

SUJOY GHOSH's next starring KAREENA KAPOOR, VIJAY VERMA and JAIDEEP AHLAWAT is said to be HINDI REMAKE of Japanese Novel 'THE DEVOTION OF SUSPECT X'.
Produced by JAY SHEWKRAMANI, the film will be set in DARJEELING where KAREENA is likely to play the role of a SINGLE MOTHER who accidentally kills her EX HUSBAND and takes the help of a PROFESSOR to hid her crime. The role of PROFESSOR and INVESTIGATING OFFICER in the movie will be played by VIJAY VERMA and JAIDEEP AHLAWAT (Not been revealed who will play which role).
Sujoy was supposed to make this film in 2014 with AISHWARYA RAI in the lead along with AMITABH BACHCHAN as the Professor and SAIF ALI KHAN as the Cop.
Then, Aishwarya backed out and got replaced by KANGANA RANAUT but the project got shelved when EKTA KAPOOR opted out due to creative differences with SUJOY GHOSH. The project is finally back on track after many years and will go on floors in JANUARY 2022.
