Makers of Tandav Will Be Implementing Changes

Following the recent backlash that the directors, producers and writers of Amazon’s web series,’Tandav’ received, the stakeholders have decided to implement the changes in the show. The decision to make changes came into being after a second meet between the makers and the officials of ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The director of the series, Abbas Ali Zafar said in the recent statement he made, ‘We have the utmost respect for the sentiments of the people of our country. We did not intend to hurt or offend the sentiments of any individual, caste, community, race, religion or religious beliefs or insult or outrage any institution, political party or person, living or dead.’

Furthermore, in the statement he also mentioned that he is grateful the support and guidance given by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, along with apologizing for the unintentional act.

The Amazon Prime team and the stakeholders of the web series have together decided to obliterate the scene which has caused harm to the sentiments and feelings of the concerned individuals, who criticized the individuals for insulting ‘Hindu gods and goddesses.’
