Manoj Muntashir The Writer Of Adipurush Says, " Humne Ramayan Nahi Banayi Hai. Hum Ramayana Se Prerit Hai''

To everyone's surprise, the writer has now revealed that the Prabhas starrer is an inspiration rather than an imitation of the Ramayana.

The debates surrounding the Prabhas starrer never seem to end. Since it debuted in theatres on June 16, the movie has drawn criticism for its crude dialogue and factual errors. Manoj Muntashir, the film's writer, has been defending and addressing controversy in his interviews as the movie is making theatres ring. Recently, we learned that the author was being made fun of for words like "jalegi tere baap ki," which Lord Hanuman says in the movie.

To everyone's surprise, the author has now revealed that the Prabhas starrer isn't a Ramayana adaptation but rather an inspiration. You did really hear correctly! The writer outright refused labeling the film "Ramayana" an adaptation after director Om Raut suggested that Lord Hanuman will attend the screening.

"Film ka naam hai Adipurush, Phele bhi kahi aur abhi bhi spasht kar deta hoon, phele bhi kahi aur abhi bhi spasht kar deta hoon. The Ramayana does not exist. Prerit Ramayana hain. Toh hum yehi kehte rahe hamara disclaimer bhi dekhenge. Aasaan tha marketing strategy ke hisaab se hum film ka naam Ramayana rakh dete. Hume shuru se pata tha hm Ramayana se strongly inspired hai, whereas hum Ramayana nahi bana rahe hain. Or, hm sampoorna Ramayana nahi bana rahe hain. Hume Ramayana ka ek chota sa hisaa liya hai jo film mein humne dikhaya hai", Manoj Muntashir says in an interview.

Translation: Adipurush is the name of the film. I'd like to clear a couple things here that I've already cleared. We did not create Ramayana, but we were inspired by it. As you can see, our disclaimer says the same thing. We found it much easier to advertise the film if we called it Ramayana. But we knew from the start that we were being inspired but not replicating the Ramayana. We did not display the entire Ramayana in Adipurush, but rather a short story about a battle from the Ramayana.

Netizens were eager to respond to the same. A user commented on the video, saying, "Ab bata raha hai... "Bechare Hanumanji bina itne saare show me ja rahe hai..." remarked one, while another replied, "Jab Ramayana nahi hai, toh Hanuman ji ke liye seat khali kyoun chhode be... sab kuch change karke adaptation thodi na hota hai." And this Manoj moron thinks Nepal was once a part of India."

"Director says: " Hanumanji will come to witness Ramayan," a third user stated. "It's not Ramayan," writes the author.

"And btw also Mr Om Raut was getting all emotional on stage for Lord Hanuman being in the theaters......" said a fourth. They just easily manipulate people's emotions for their own gain."
