NCB raids Firoz Nadiadwala’ house
In connection to the drug probe which began as an off-shoot from the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, NCB raids the house of the Bollywood producer, Firoz Nadiadwala on Sunday, November 8.
NCB official, Sameer Wankhede affirmed the news by as he mentions, ‘On Saturday, we conducted a major strike in Western Mumbai and Navi Mumbai where we recovered ‘ganja’ in commercial quantity, Mephedrone and other different drugs. We also intercepted five peddlers and based on that we conducted and recovered some drugs today morning from his house which was supposed to be a part of the same seizure.’
The anti-drug agency has earlier tweeted that they had arrested one drug peddler and were going to conduct raids in five locations of Mumbai, namely, Malad, Andheri, Lokhandwala, Kharghar and Koparkhairane.
On recovering huge amount of drugs from the film producer of ‘Welcome’, his wife, Shabana Saeed was arrested by the agency under section 67 of NDPS Act and after recording her statement she was placed under arrest on Sunday, November 8.
The Bollywood film producer Firoz Nadiadwala is known for his block busters such as ‘Welcome’, ‘Awara Pagal Deewana’ and ‘Phir Hera Pheri’.
