A political analyst has filed a legal complaint against Netflix for using a "derogatory phrase" against actor Madhuri Dixit in an episode of "Big Bang Theory." Mithun Vijay Kumar has urged the streamer to remove the first episode of season two in which the characters of Raj Koothrapalli (Kunal Nayyar) and Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) compare Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit.
Kumar claims in the legal notification that the character's words are not only offensive but also defamatory. He has demanded that the streamer remove the offending episode or face legal action for encouraging prejudice against women. The legal warning was delivered to Netflix's Mumbai office.
