A case was registered against Poonam Pandey at Marine Drive Police Station in Mumbai for breaking lockdown rules. Poonam Pandey has been arrested for disrespecting and breaking lockdown rules on Sunday. Mumbai Police detained her for violating the ongoing nationwide COVID-19 lockdown. The report says that Poonam and her boyfriend were seen wandering outside without any reason and hence, a case has been registered against her under section 188, 269 and 51 (B) of the IPC. Poonam is known for her work in Bollywood and Telugu cinema. She became one of the top 9 contestants of the Gladrags Manhunt and Mega model Contest. In 2013, she was seen in the movie ‘Nasha’. In 2014, she made a special appearance in the Kannada film ‘Love is Poison’. In 2018, she starred in the movie ‘The Journey of Karma’ alongside actor Shakti Kapoor.

Poonam has denied that she was arrested for roaming around in her car. In a video shared on Instagram, she claimed that she was having a movie marathon at home. In the video, she said, ‘hey guys, I had a movie marathon last night. I watched three movies back-to-back, it was fun. I have been getting calls since last night that I am arrested and I am seeing that in the news as well. Guys, please don’t write that about me. I am home and I am perfectly fine. Love you all.’

If she is claiming of being at home and having a movie marathon then we don’t know what the reports mean. Whereas if she has violated the rules then it is shameful as the rules are for the welfare of the citizens.
