Vashu Bhagnani is optimistic that Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, his next movie, will gross more at the box office than Jawan and Pathaan, both starring Shah Rukh Khan.
"Real life" The father-son producer team of Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani, Bade Miyan and Chote Miyan, appear to be very confident about their Ali Abbas Zafar-directed movie. The big-budget action movie, which stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles, is scheduled to hit theatres on April 10 for Eid.
Vashu Bhagnani is heard declaring that he is certain Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will make Rs 1100 crore at the box office in a video that is being extensively shared on social media. The last movie to earn such enormous sums of money was Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan. Pathaan, SRK's first movie of 2023, too made over Rs 1000 crore globally. It seemed as though Vashu Bhagnani was forecasting that his film would gross more than the two SRK films. Jackky presents himself and his father Vashu as the “real life Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” in the video. Vashu adds, "Rs 1100 crore confirmed hai worldwide," in response to Jackky. Jackky responds to his father's assurance with a "tathastu (amen)!”
After the Covid-19 pandemic struck, the Hindi cinema industry had been failing; however, SRK's Pathaan and his follow-up Jawan helped to revive the business. With a global box office receipt of Rs 900 crore, Ranbir Kapoor's Animal was also one of the highest-earning pictures of the previous year. Nevertheless, Mission Raniganj and Ganapath, the last two films distributed by the Bhagnanis' Pooja Entertainment, were both commercial failures.
The director of Bade Miyan Chote Miya, Ali Abbas Zafar, recently discussed the film's enormous budget in an interview with IndianExpress.com. Given that Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is purportedly being produced on an enormous budget of Rs 350 crore, he referred to it as "very ambitious." He claimed that having a picture with such a large budget also puts a lot of pressure on the cast and him as the director. Speaking about the pressure, he stated, "Today, you need to spend that much money when you want your product to look international, classy, and at a level where people say it's a visual spectacle. Budget is the biggest pressure that the actors and the makers of the film always feel.”
If you want to perform bike stunts, each bike costs Rs 4 lakh, and you will lose Rs 4 lakh right away if the stunt doesn't work out. If you blow up a car that costs between Rs. 30 and 40 lakh and the stunt doesn't work out, you will immediately lose that much money. In Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, there are stunts that cost between Rs 3 and 4 crores to complete in a single day. The total cost of all the equipment and helicopter technicians was quite high.
In addition to Tiger and Akshay, Bade Miyan Prithviraj Sukumaran, known for Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life), Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, and Alaya F. are also featured in Chote Miyan.
