Real Reason Why Tandav 2 was Axed 

Amazon Prime Video's Tandav created quite a controversy when it premiered at the start of this year. The Saif Ali Khan-starrer was being enjoyed by the masses, however, a large part of the society were also offended by the series because it hurt their religious sentiments. While the makers and the OTT platform apologised, it looks like that wasn't enough.

According to reports, all streaming platforms are now playing it safe and following stricter guidelines to avoid any more conflicts. All upcoming series and films are being "toothcombed by experts" to ensure that no religious or political sentiments are hurt.

An OTT producer shared: “None at all, good or bad. We are henceforth going to black out all references to politics and religion.” And since Tandav is a political drama, it is reported that there will be no season two. On the other hand, Netflix Bombay Begums, which has been receiving some criticism as well has been given a nod for a second season.
