Reason Why Salman Khan Sold ‘Radhe’ To Zee Studios

Check out the reason behind Salman Khan selling all the rights, including music, of 'Radhe' to Zee Studios for Rs 230 crore.

In a breaking scoop, Bollywood Hungama released the news that Salman Khan has sold ‘Radhe: The Most Wanted Bhai’, to Zee Studios, which earlier was in the kitty of YRF, Amazon, and T-Series. The actor sold the movie to Zee Studios for Rs 230 crore which includes theatrical, Satellite, and music rights of the film. Earlier, the rights had been distributed in a way that YRF received theatrical rights, Amazon got digital rights and T-Series received music rights.

The news soon became the talk of the town leaving everyone baffled as to why Salman Khan sold every right to Zee Studios. According to a source of Bollywood Hungama, the actor feels that selling everything to a single stakeholder would make things far easier and convenient to deal with rather than selling it to multiple parties at the same time.

‘Salman and Aditya Chopra spoke on this and mutually decided to part ways, before they collaborated again on Tiger 3 from March. Adi understands business better than anyone else in the industry and gave him his nod. While Salman got an upfront amount of Rs 230 crores, making him earn a table profit of over Rs. 100 crores, the studio now has all the rights thereby opening up various modes of revenue – ranging from satellite revenues from advertisers, OTT revenue from Zee 5, monetization of advertisement revenue from YouTube and other music apps’, said the trade source of Bollywood Hungama.

‘Radhe-Your Most Wanted Bhai’ will be releasing on Eid 2021 in cinema halls. How do you think the movie will turn out to be? Mention your views in the comment section below.
