Review: Tiku Weds Sheru
Tiku Weds Sheru is a film by Kangana Ranaut marking the debut of Avneet Kaur as a Bollywood actress. I was really excited to watch Avneet on-screen as the lead actress as I have always watched her as the child artist since my childhood. Have you watched this film yet? Well, it also stars Nawazuddin as the lead male actor. You can watch the film on Amazon Prime Videos.
I have always like Nawazudin's acting as I believe, he gets to the core of the characters he plays and brings the best out of himself. Avneet on the other hand, has been in the industry since her childhood and has done many television shows and films. I was confident about her acting skills as she is a good performer. To this, I must say both of them gave a fabulous perfomance in the film. Tough, watching the trailer I had doubts regarding their pairing but as I watched the film, they seemed perfect. The films shows the harsh reality of the film industry and the struggles of junior artists.
Being a debut film, I was expecting a desend and simple role for Avneet but carried out the bold scenes just fine. Her character was jolly and fun loving. She reminded me of Geet from Jab We Met She also had a item song in the film, but what was surprising here was Nawazudin's performance in a woman's get up! Talking about the film, Iiked the dialogues and storyline marking a perfect balance between romance, comedy and raw emotions.
Kangana as the producer of the film showcased her in-depth understanding of the cinema lanscape. The director of the film, Sai Kabir has worked with her in Revolver Rani. He has done a gret job in this film to engage the audience in each scene.
I would rate this film a 3.5/5.
