Samantha Ruth Prabhu Calls Out Society for Dictating What Women Can Do in New TVC

 

Samantha recently appeared in an advertisment for Pepsi, the concept challenges patriarchal norms. The actress takes a dig at the societal norms and presents a message that goes against the gender roles and expectations against women. 

Taking to her Instagram handle, Samantha dropped the new ad and wrote in the caption, “Duniya Kheechegi neeche, but you got to Rise Up Baby!” In the ad, when an older woman says, “Shaadi time pe hojana chaiye,” Samantha replies, “Time pe nahi, marzi se hona chaiye.”

She also expressed on the importance of potraying women as heroes in the films and normalising women working midnight. Fans on the internet loved Samantha in the ad and dropped red heart emoticons in the comments section of the post. One of the fans wrote, “Perfect Ad for a perfect Lady.” Another commented, “One of the best ads that I have seen in a long time.”
