Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan couldn’t take up the project, so Farah Khan has been left with no other option and the reboot has been booted out. Farah has put her Satte Pe Satta remake to sleep.

Farah Khan’s plan to remake Raj N Sippy’s, Amitabh Bachchan blockbuster Satte Pe Satta has now been put to rest. She couldn’t find the leading man for the job. Farah first went to Hrithik who said neither yes nor no. He kept her in suspense for many months and then finally said no because he didn’t want to do another Bachchan remake after Agneepath.

After this Farah approached Akshay Kumar and even tried her luck with Om Shanti Om’s hero Shah Rukh Khan who said a polite but form no. Left with no major options, the reboot has been booted out. Another source adds that the new-age copyright rules make it difficult for anyone to do an unauthorised remake.

In 1982, Raj Sippy made an unofficial remake of Stanley Donen’s Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. But now the copyright rules have become rigid and it is difficult to do Satte Pe Satta without the relevant legal permission.
