Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan  Marks Rs 900 crores Worldwide in 17 days

It only took 17 days for the film Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, to surpass the Rs. 900 crores worldwide box office gain threshold. All circuits in India have, except for a few, had their best numbers for a Hindi-origin picture, and the figures have been excellent overall. In the first phase of its foreign distribution, it has already surpassed Dangal, the second-highest-grossing Hindi movie worldwide, to become the Hindi language genre's highest-grossing movie abroad.

On its 18th day, Pathaan will surpass the Rs. 450 crore net Hindi box office milestone, making history by becoming just the second Indian movie—behind Baahubali 2—to do so. The movie can finally surpass the net numbers Baahubali 2 set almost six years ago with a double-digit Saturday and Sunday. The mass centres put forth a lot of effort on Saturday and Sunday, but it remains to be seen if this is enough to guarantee a double-digit total on both days.

Coming back to the worldwide collections of Pathaan, the film crossed Rs. 900 crores worldwide in only 17 days. The Hindi net total is Rs. 446.50 crores while all languages' net total is Rs. 462.80 crores. The India gross total is Rs. 556 crores. The overseas gross total is 42.5 million dollars, which when covered to Indian rupees, adds up to Rs. 349 crores. The worldwide gross thus totals up to Rs. 905 crores. In due course, Pathaan will become an Rs. 1000 crore worldwide grosser, a feat that only Baahubali 2, RRR, KGF: Chapter 2 and Dangal have accomplished in the past. It is to be noted that Pathaan hasn't had a second phase release yet, like the other films in this list have had.
