Shanti Priya, Akshay Kumar's 'Saugandh' co-star, is set to make her Bollywood comeback after a 28-year hiatus: Report

 

In 1991, the actress made her big Bollywood debut with 'Saugandh', featuring Akshay Kumar.

According to reports, Shanti will make her comeback with a biopic of Sarojini Naidu. According to the reports, the movie will be released in four languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. According to the report, actress Sonal Monteiro will play Sarojini Naidu's younger years, while Shanti Priya will play her senior years.

 

Shanti told Dainik Jagran that she is happy that this movie is being made in four languages because it permitted her to get into the skin of her character and put on weight for it.

 

With this, the story of Sarojini Naidu will reach a large number of people. She also went on to say that by working on this biopic, she understood the process of working in new ways in the cinema industry. She claims that Sarojini had a strong personality, so she has been working hard to fit into her role.

 

Shanti went on to say that she required to gain about 10-12 kg of weight. When the work is challenging, she claims that energy flows naturally.

 

The actress admitted that she has missed working on the big screen a lot. She plans to make up for the time she has lost by being away from it by working hard on this film.

 

The film, directed by Vinay Chandra, also stars Hiten Tejwani, who plays Sarojini Naidu's husband Govind, and evergreen actress Zarina Wahab, who plays the freedom fighter's mother Varada Sundari Devi.
