No Raid on Shilpa Shetty, Says Lawyer

The lawyer added that there was no raid conducted at the residence of the actress and the businesswoman, Shilpa Shetty Kundra. “From the records, there is no Enforcement Directorate raid on Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra as she has no involvement in any offense of whatsoever nature,” the statement said. The legal representative went on to state that the actor neither has any links with any unlawful process and requested media institutions to stop using her name.

 

Focus Remains on Raj Kundra’s Investigation

The main subject of the investigation by the ED revolves around Raj Kundra and involves money laundering and the production and distribution of lewd material through applications such as ‘Hotshots’ It looks like searches have been conducted at various places in Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh, including Kundra’s residence. The businessman who was arrested but later released on bail is still helping the police to work on the issue.

Media Urged to Act Responsibly

Forcing his way into the press, the lawyer begged not to see or publish the images or videos of Shilpa Shetty in connection with the investigation. “Proper notice shall be taken against provocative journalism which posts those pictures or videos of Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra, in this regard,” said the lawyer.

Ongoing Developments

It is not the first time that Kundra has come under legal investigation. This year in March, the ED seized assets of ₹98 crore of the couple in connection with the cryptocurrency case. Kundra and Shetty had also recently managed to secure an interim injunction order in the Bombay High Court in that regard. This again depicted that they have always been quite responsive to such legal issues.

 

Second, more than often, investigations take place, such that it is crucial to differentiate between fact and fancy. On the same front, Kundra is still active with the authorities, while Shetty’s lawyer comes out to clarify that Shetty is clean on the case.
