Tara vs bilal review

A fake marriage that leads to love: the story of Tara Vs Bilal

Tara Vs Bilal (UA) is a film produced by T-Series Films, JA Entertainment, and TVB Films that tells the story of two people who end up falling in love after entering into a fake marriage. Tara (Sonia Rathee) goes to London for her honeymoon but is left stranded by her husband, who steals her money and jewelry. Bilal (Harshvardhan Rane), the hotel owner where Tara is staying, kicks her out after he discovers she is penniless. Tara takes up a job in a club, where she meets Bilal again. Bilal requests her to participate in his "marriage game" as his family wants him to settle down, but he is not interested in getting married. Tara agrees to help. Bilal takes her to his family, and they pretend to be getting married. However, the plan goes awry, and they end up actually getting married.

Despite having an interesting premise, the film fails to connect with the audience due to a poorly written screenplay by Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh. The storyline is not convincing, and the characters' actions are often illogical. The dialogues are ordinary, and the film lacks depth. Harshvardhan Rane delivers a decent performance as Bilal, while Sonia Rathee's portrayal of Tara is average. The supporting cast is adequate, but Samar Iqbal's direction is amateurish. The music and lyrics by Manan Bhardwaj are okay, but the choreography by Naz Choudhury and background music by Japjisingh Valecha and Gaurav Godkhindi are unremarkable. The cinematography by Amarjeet Singh is decent, but the editing by Dipika Kalra is loose.

In conclusion, Tara Vs Bilal is a poorly executed film that fails to impress. Despite having a talented cast and crew, the film's weak screenplay, ordinary dialogues, and lackluster direction fail to make it an engaging experience for the viewers. The film had a poor publicity and opening and was released on 28-10-'22 at Cinepolis Bhandup and other cinemas of Bombay through Panorama Studios. It is unlikely to make an impact at the box office or gain much attention from audiences.
