The Broken News Ending Explained

The Broken News is a Hindi adaptation of Mike Bartlett’s British show, Press, directed by Vijay Waikul and starring Sonali Bendre as Amina Qureshi, Shriya Pilgaonkar as Radha Bhargava, and Jaideep Ahlawat as Dipankar Sanyal. The first season consisted a total of 8 episodes.

Radha Bhargava, a vicious journalist working for Awaaz Bharati, attempts to expose the truth about Operation Umbrella. This scheme involves Vectanet, a company that helps politicians monitor people's conversations and record them without their knowledge using devices that are hard to detect. The collected data can be used against anyone who speaks against the government or politicians.

Radha's efforts to expose the truth are met with opposition from Dipankar Sanyal, a dishonest TV news anchor working for Josh 24X7. He questions Radha's intentions and defends the scheme, claiming it helps track anti-nationals and terrorists. However, Radha eventually succeeds in exposing the scheme on Awaaz Bharati.

In the end, Radha gets arrested for her actions, and the show ends on a cliffhanger. Viewers are left wondering what will happen to Radha, Awaaz Bharati, and the other characters in the future.

Given the loose ends from season 1, many fans hope that Zee5 will renew the show for a second season to tie up the storylines and provide closure for the characters.
