The Journey Of Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh – From Wanting An Open Relationship To Their Happy Marriage

With the scars from the past heartbreaks, Deepika was very hesitant to go beyond casual dating with Ranveer Singh. Here is a throwback to those times when love blossomed between the couple on the sets of Ram Leela.

The fifth anniversary of their film, Goliyon ki Raasleela: Ram Leela was a rosy event for both Deepika and Ranveer as they celebrated their memories of the time when they fell for each other. Deepika did start feeling for Ranveer on the sets of Ramleela, however, was not ready for another heartbreak. Here is how their relationship evolved from hesitance to life-long commitment.

Deepika had recently shared in an interview that she was in a phase full of trust issues when she started feeling for Ranveer, making her skeptical of committing once again. She said that her trust was broken several times and it was at the time when she met Ranveer that she wanted to try out the concept of open relationship or casual dating.

Deepika and Ranveer both acknowledged the fact that she had directly said Ranveer that she did not want to be answerable to anyone and would step out of the relationship if she got attracted to anyone else. With the passage of time, they both laugh at their past ordeals, now wanting to add some more members to their family.

In a similar interview before their marriage, Ranveer had confessed that he had evolved as a person and could not even imagine such no-strings-attached relationships anymore as he wanted to become a family man.

A crew member of Ram Leela was interviewed by HuffPost India. He had said that the entire crew knew there was something special between them, but Ang Laga De was a confirmation of that. The kiss that they shared in the song was so passionate that they were glued to each other even after director Sanjay Leela Bhansali called ‘cut’. The real-life couple has worked together in quite a lot of films since 2012. Deepika and Ranveer are set to make their next appearance together in sports drama 83.
