The Most Toughest Government Exams in India

 

There are many high competitive and reputative examinations in India which are admired and prepared by the students to get selected in them. By contributing their efforts they earn a good reputation and get chance to serve the nation through various aspiring jobs.

Here is a list of some of the most toughest Government examinations in India:

Civil Service Examination (UPSC)

 It is the world’s third hardest examination and is conducted by Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of candidates in various services such as Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Foreign Services (IFS), Indian Revenue Services (IRS), etc.

The qualification rate is only about 0.1% which is the lowest in the world. The common eligibility to appear in the examination is that a candidate should be a graduate in any stream.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)

 It is a government oriented examination which selects students for getting admissions to AIIMS colleges throughout India and study medical courses. MBBS and MS degrees are secured in the colleges. The AIIMS, New Delhi is in the topmost position in rankings of AIIMS.

National Defence Academy Examination (NDA)

 It is one of the most designated examination of India conducted for admission to National Defence Academy which is the joint service academy of Indian Army. The eligibility criteria for appearing in NDA examinations is 10+2 and unmarried.

Combined Defence Service (CDS)

 A government oriented examination being held for candidates who want to serve their life in Indian army. The examination is held by Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to Indian Military Services, Indian Naval Services, etc. This exam is one of the toughest exam of India due to the positions offered by the exam.

Joint Entrance Examination Mains / Advanced

 This examination is conducted for entrance into various engineering colleges in India. The two different examinations in JEE are:

  1. Mains
  2. Advanced

It is one of the most challenging examination of India as per the cut off rate offered and the selection rate of the exam. The students who clear the examinations are admitted to National Institute of Technology and Indian Institute of Technology.

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)

A government competitive examination conducted by Indian Air Force to select candidates for designation of officers in various branches except for dental and medical branches.

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)

 This exam is held every year across the country for candidates who want to study in National Law Universities across the country. 5 years of study is required to complete for under graduation in Law.
