Both of them have a great deal of respect for each other and genuinely and profoundly appreciate each other's work, but, much to the disappointment of their fans, they have never collaborated on a project in their nearly 28-year careers.

The reality is that Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan are arch-rivals. They're both intensely competitive and always trying to outdo one another. When SRK was on top in the 1990s and 2000s, their rivalry was fierce. However, after SRK's films began to fail in the last decade, the rivalry has waned.
