When trolling calls her "buddy" or "moti," Lara Dutta responds, saying, "I don't have a huge following, but..."

Lara Dutta Responds To Trolls Who Shame Her, Referring To Her As "Buddhi" And "Moti," the actress discusses how she handles criticism on social media. Lara Dutta, the stunning former Miss Universe 2000, is back on TV with another important project, Ranneeti, but being a celebrity has drawbacks as well. Dutta has had to cope with a lot of trolling, which regrettably affects actresses more frequently than male celebrities. Recently, Lara Dutta spoke out against the ageism and body shaming she experienced from people calling her obese or using terms like "buddhi.”

It is a fact that being in the spotlight has its drawbacks. The trolls can easily overwhelm you, even though the acknowledgment can make you feel thrilled. The actor from Partner stated that she still runs with haters on social media even if she has "a small following." Speaking of her terrible encounter with trolls, Lara Dutta remarked, "You know, personally, I don't think I have a big social media following. My presence on social media: I am there, but not as much as I would like to be. I must be prepared to accept all that comes with having followers, comments, and other such things if I am going to be hungry for them.

Therefore, the content on my social media feed is stuff that I truly want to communicate with those who follow me sincere. I don't have a large following, but the ones that I do have are sincere individuals who genuinely want to be there. And if such individuals exist, they don't exist to undermine you. Lara went on, "I believe I am fortunate." I don't have to deal with many trolls, offensive remarks, or similar stuff. Naturally, individuals will have...They will say something to you because, you know, it's their right to have an opinion.

Many say things like "array moti ho gayi" or "arrey buddhi ho gayi" (she is now obese). Will it actually have an impact on my life? It doesn't. I am also aware that behind handles are anonymous individuals. I have no idea what kind of person that is going through in their lifetime. I therefore cannot pass judgment on anyone else. It's alright. However, Dutta has maintained her composure and persisted.

Regarding her career, she is presently promoting her web series, Ranneeti: Balakot and Beyond. Her next projects include Welcome To The Jungle, the third episode of the comedy series Welcome, starring Akshay Kumar, and Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi.
