This Is How Nawazuddin Siddiqui Defends Criticism For Kissing Avneet Kaur!!!

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has stated that it is the responsibility of the older age of performers to depict romance on screen because the younger generation is "useless."

A part of the internet recently chastised actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui for his kiss with Avneet Kaur in Tiku Weds Sheru. Many people were put off by the two performers' age disparity. Nawazuddin is 28 years younger than Avneet.

Nawazuddin has responded to the criticism in a recent interview, saying that "romance is ageless." He also cited Shah Rukh Khan as an example of how older performers must still portray romance on television because the younger generation of actors is "useless."

Nawazuddin said, "Romance is timeless." The problem is that the young men have lost their sense of romance. We come from a time when romance was something special. We'd fall in love and stay in 'ishq' for years. Today, Shah Rukh Khan continues to play romantic parts since today's youth are 'nalli' (useless). They have no concept of romance."

Nawazuddin even wondered who else could play love parts if not him and his peers. "Today, everything happens on Whatsapp, whether it's love or a breakup. There's a reason for this. Romance can be done by people who have lived it. "Who else will do it?" he wondered.

Comments on Nawazuddin-Avneet's kiss

Nawazuddin is 49 years old, and Avneet is 21. Many Reddit users were 'grossed-out' after seeing their kiss in the Tiku Weds Sheru video. "It's so disappointing to see Avneet Kaur, who is only 21, paired opposite someone (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), who is 49," one individual wrote. "Shocking how it's coming from Kangana," one person wrote.

Nawazuddin remarked at the trailer's premiere, "Tiku Weds Sheru is a comedy-drama that weaves elements of real-life struggles that people go through with a unique love story." Tiku and Sheru are two extremely different people who share a desire. What drew me to Sheru was that, although personifying the problems experienced by those seeking to succeed in the entertainment industry, he is personable, has his own eccentricities, and stands out as an endearing character."
