When we talked about Bollywood, all we focus on are the actors and actresses. It is now that we have started recognising the hard work, effords and value of directors behind a film. Who are directors? They are the makers of the story. It is them who visualise how the characters, story and everything of the movie will look and perform like. Today, I will be listing some of the best directors in 2021. 

1. Anurag Kashyap 

He is a modern day director. He started career in the film industry in 1997 with Kabhie Kabhie and since then his work has evolved. His debut work was Paanch in 2003 but as it wasn't relased his first work was Black Friday. He is well known for Gangs of Wassepur. 

2. Dibakar Banerji 

He is a filmmaker, director and writer. If you watch any of his works who would be able to stop yourself from praising it. I feel he is just perfect in his work. His debut work was Khosla ka Ghosla in 2006. He became famous after Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye in 2008. 

3. Farhan Akhtar 

He seems to be an all rounder. He is an actor, singer, filmmaker, director, host, screen writer and what not. His debut film was Dil Chahta Hai. He has recieved various awards as director and has a long list of works. 

4. Imtiaz Ali 

I a fan of his executions. He has been praised by the audience and critics many times. His debut work was Socha Na Tha. He has given various famous films like Jab We Met and Rockstar. After his film Highway, he was one of the most successful directors of the industry. 

5. Karan Johar 

Well, we all know Karan, if not for his directorial work then some gossip from his show, Koffee with Karan. Right? He is a great director, well known for his romantic films. Kjo started his career with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in 1995. 

6. Milan Luthria 

He is the son of Raj Khosla. He made his debut with Kachche Dhaage. He only became famous after The Dirty Picture in 2011 and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai. 

7. Mani Ratnam 

He is a filmmaker, screenwriter and producer. He worked as a managemet consultant before he came into the industry. He started his career with Kanada film in 1983. He got recognised after Dil Se.
